Martin Khoshdel joins 33 Chancery Lane
Martin Khoshdel joins 33 Chancery Lane
Nov 3, 2025
Martin spent seven years at the independent bar in London before relocating to the UAE in September 2021. He has spent several years employed as a Barrister/Legal Consultant with two well-respected law firms in Dubai. His time in these roles allowed him to develop a DIFC Courts, ADGM Courts and international arbitration practice in commercial dispute resolution. He has a deep understanding of DIFC Law, English law as applied in the ADGM, and UAE Federal Law, in addition to the local Courts' system which he uses to his advantage in advising and representing clients. This is especially useful as a significant number of disputes use UAE law as the governing law irrespective of the forum of the dispute.
He is a specialist commercial barrister with experience in arbitration and litigation, particularly in England & Wales and the Middle East. He is frequently instructed on complex and high-value disputes, including commercial disputes, civil fraud, corporate, construction, engineering and infrastructure, oil & gas, crypto and digital assets, banking, regulatory and breach of contract claims.
Martin has full rights of audience before all Courts of England & Wales, DIFC, ADGM, QFC and AIFC Courts. He also has extensive experience representing parties in institutional arbitrations under LCIA, DIAC, ICC and ADCCAC (now ArbitrateAD) and ad hoc rules.
Kennedy Talbot KC, Head of Chambers says; “I am pleased that Martin has decided to join Chambers. He brings with him a wealth of experience which will enable us to further develop our Middle East presence. Welcome to Chambers!”
Sam Carter, Chief Executive & Director of Clerking says; “I’m delighted to have Martin in Chambers. He not only adds to our commercial disputes practice but also to our pedigree in the Middle East, further expanding on Chamber’ offering to clients in that region.”
Martin joins Chambers and will remain based in the UAE. His profile can be found here: https://lnkd.in/ejwmuV6x
