We are delighted to share that Armando Neris has been registered with the DIFC Courts as a Part II Legal Practitioner, with full Rights of Audience.
Armando has more than a decade of experience as a commercial litigator and arbitration counsel, having joined Chambers (as a Solicitor Advocate) from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP in 2024. His practice spans complex civil fraud and corruption cases, international commercial and investment arbitration, asset recovery and enforcement proceedings, and cross-border and offshore litigation.
Armando is currently instructed on a noteworthy range of diverse mandates:
- Counsel in PIFSS v Al Rajaan & Ors, a complex Commercial Court case concerning the alleged non-disclosure of secret commissions valued in excess of 1 billion dollars, which was featured as one of The Lawyer Top 20 Cases for 2025 and is listed as one of Solomonic UK’s Most-Tracked High Court Cases.
- Counsel in two separate high-value international investor-State arbitrations (including an ICSID annulment application) and advising in the pre-action phase of a further substantial ICSID claim as well as in arbitration enforcement proceedings.
- Sole counsel in a multi-million-pound breach of contract and cross-border debt recovery dispute.
- Counsel advising on English contract law issues in a several-hundred-million-dollar construction and finance dispute in a European court.
- Advising on complex matters, including recent instructions concerning equitable and proprietary claims, the alleged non-disclosure of secret commissions, and various matters under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
Armando’s appointment further strengthens our Middle East practice, which includes Mark Rainsford KC, Alistair Webster KC, Aidan Casey KC, Narita Bahra KC, Steven Walker KC and Faisal Osman. The 33 Chancery Lane Middle East team delivers market-leading litigation, arbitration and advisory services across the region.
